This was my entry for an annual Ugly Duckling contest! Doing this dresser for the contest was a lot of work..yet so much fun! You’d never know that this beautiful swan was once an ugly duckling!! I wanted to keep some wood accents on it, but that wasn’t an option. Why? The durability of the wood & dresser overall is top tier. It was a cosmetic issue. There were SOOO many swirl marks from an electric sander being misused on it in the past. Regardless, I was still able to achieve the two-tone look that I was going for by doing two gorgeous greens that were definitely meant for each other. I kept going back and forth what to do with the design & just decided to have fun with it!
Fun Fact:
- This was my first time completely taking a base off of a dresser to add legs.
